Description

We present natural carrot seed hydrolate for perfumery, obtained from the species Daucus carota. The product is offered under the name Carrot Seed natural hydrolate for perfumery. Turkish plantations provide the raw material, and the plants there develop naturally and receive no artificial support throughout their entire growth period. The family to which botanists assign the species bears the name Apiaceae. Only the seeds that the plant forms in its fruits are used for extraction. The color starts at colorless and reaches slightly red, and the seed raw material directly determines this tone. The distillate appears as a clear liquid with a uniform structure. Extraction is carried out by steam distillation, so only the volatile constituents of the seed material pass into the liquid and the earthy note remains distinct. The scent manifests itself with medium strength. In the aromatic profile, the earthy and the warm sides go together, joined by a light sweet finish. The natural method of cultivation is reflected in the composition, because only substances from the processed seeds enter the distillate, and no foreign substances are added. Preservatives and colorants have no place in the liquid. The fruit of this species is a schizocarp and at maturity splits into ribbed single-seeded mericarps. In addition, the sesquiterpene carotol occupies a leading place in the volatile fraction of the seed and underlies the earthy character that is evident in the finished distillate. Storage

Store natural carrot seed hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for perfumery products, preferably dark glass, which protect the perfumery hydrolate from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
